Scott Natter, General Manager, L.I.D. Landscapes

Scott Natter, CLP, CLT - General Manager

Scott started at L.I.D.'s parent company in Chicago, James Martin Associates, in 2007. There, he worked with the Design/Build team in the installation of several award winning projects. He has been a part of the Design/Build team as a Designer/Salesman and a Productions Operations Manager. He was also a part of the Commercial Snow and Maintenance team as an Account Manager and the Snow Operations Manager.

Scott joined the L.I.D. team in Boulder as the General Manager in November of 2013. He has a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Management from the Brigham Young University and is a Landscape Certified Professional and Landscape Industry Certified Technician.

Outside of work, Scott enjoys camping with his family, rock climbing, and white water rafting. In addition, he is an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America.

Chris Gallagher, General Manager, L.I.D. Landscapes

Chris Gallagher – Landscape Operations Manager

Chris has more than thirty-five years of experience in the landscape industry including twenty-seven years with L.I.D. He began his career at L.I.D. as a Landscape Installation Laborer. Currently, Chris is our Landscape Operations Manager. His primary focuses are the daily scheduling and supervising of each installation, fleet management, oversight of bidding, and providing quality control. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Chris's leadership and focus on work quality have led to multiple recognitions and awards. He is proud to have established L.I.D.'s recycling program in 2000 which has been a vital part of our yard operations.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, playing music, and spending time in the outdoors.

Barrett Boos, Operations Associate, L.I.D. Landscapes

Barrett Boos - Purchasing and Yard Manager

Barrett joined L.I.D Landscapes in June 2014 after graduating from Colorado State University. He received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Horticulture with concentrations in Nursery and Landscape Management and Landscape Business along with a minor in Business Administration.

Barrett has acquired extensive plant care knowledge through working at several nurseries, as well as completing internships at Colorado State University’s Arboretum, and the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University.

His role at L.I.D. has included leading several Enhancement and Maintenance crews and throughout the winter, Barrett will be a part of L.I.D.'s Snow Operations. Currently, Barrett serves as the Purchasing and Yard Manager, coordinating and supervising L.I.D.'s fleet and material purchases.

In his free time, Barrett is passionate about spending time with his family and friends, skiing, and fishing for bass and trout in the lakes and rivers of Colorado.

Phil Loughman, Landscape Architect & President Emeritus, L.I.D. Landscapes

Philip Loughman - Landscape Architect, President Emeritus   

Phil is the former President of L.I.D. Landscapes and now concentrates on project design and client relations. His passion is creating unique, beautiful and functional landscapes and relationships with his clients that endure for years.

He has over forty years of experience as a landscape architect and in campus planning and capitol project management for three major universities. Phil is a licensed Landscape Architect and Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and a Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign.

Phil believes that landscape industry professionals have a significant impact on the quality of people’s lives and on the communities they serve.

Lisa Sangelo, Landscape Designer, L.I.D. Landscapes

Lisa Sangelo, BLA - Landscape Designer

Lisa began her career at L.I.D. Landscapes in 2013 and has fifteen years of experience designing and restoring gardens in Colorado.  She earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Western Australia, is a Master Gardener, has studied Horticultural Science at Murdoch University, and is currently working toward licensure as a landscape architect.

Lisa is a key member of the L.I.D. team, contributing her talents in design and project management. Having travelled extensively and worked in recreation planning, natural and visual resource management and hospitality, Lisa is now applying her passion for people and the living and built environments to her work at L.I.D.

During her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and playing music.

Amber Kraft, Maintenance Account Manager, L.I.D. Landscapes

Amber Kraft - Landscape Designer

Amber has been a member of the L.I.D. team since 2007 working in both the Maintenance and Design/Build departments. She is a Master Gardener with comprehensive knowledge of plant care and pathology, and landscape management.

Amber joined L.I.D. Landscapes because of her passion for improving the environment and her love of plants, gardens and horticulture. She is a Colorado native whose education includes a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Masters in Horticulture from Colorado State University.

Outside of work, Amber enjoys gardening at her home, volunteering and rafting the Colorado River.

Matt O'Brian, Landscape Designer, L.I.D. Landscapes

Matt O'Brian, CLT - Landscape Designer

Matt is a graduate of Colorado State University with dual-majors in Landscape Design & Contracting and in Landscape Business, with a minor in Business Management. 
With experience at several Landscape Architecture and Contracting firms, he's been involved in a wide variety of projects. 

Joining L.I.D. in 2013, he has held several positions including team administration, design assistant, snow plow driver, maintenance and enhancement foreman, and trainer for laborers and foremen. Currently, Matt is one of our Landscape Designers, and enjoys designing and maintaining the construction of functional and sustainable outdoor spaces in the residential community. 
Matt is a Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) with an emphasis in Softscape Installation.

Outside of work, Matt coaches high school rugby, loves to travel, and enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

Jim Petts, Construction Superintendent, L.I.D. Landscapes

 Jim Pettis - Construction Superintendent

Jim joined L.I.D. Landscapes in early 2015. He has more than 20 years of experience in the landscape industry. Currently, Jim is the Superintendent for the Design Build crews. He is responsible for the scheduling, coordination, and execution of every project. He has an amazing skill of developing a landscape plan and turning that vision into reality. Jim has a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Horticulture from the Ohio State University and is a Certified Nursery Technician.

In his free time, Jim enjoys snowboarding and experiencing the outdoors.

Dan Quakenbush, Operations Associate, L.I.D. Landscapes

Dan Quakenbush - Operations Associate

Dan, a Colorado native, has been with L.I.D. since the summer of 2014. His first positions were Irrigation Technician and a Landscape Crew Member. He has a bachelor’s degree in horticulture, with an emphasis in designing, building and maintaining landscapes, from Brigham Young University – Idaho.

Dan has a diverse background, having worked at nurseries and multiple landscaping companies throughout the west coast. He joined L.I.D. to further his passion for creating interactive spaces and beautiful landscapes. Dan's duties include assisting designers and managers with proposals, bidding, and design development.

Away from the office, Dan spends time with his wife, hikes and skis the mountains of Colorado, and works on his fly fishing techniques.

Russ Swanson, Maintenance Team Manager, L.I.D. Landscapes

Russ Swanson, CLT - Maintenance Team Manager

Russ joined the L.I.D. team in early 2015. He has 25 years in the landscape industry including sales and management of residential and commercial construction, maintenance and irrigation. He loves to create and maintain landscapes others can enjoy.

Russ received his Associates Degree in Architecture/Structural Drafting from Denver Technical College and is a Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) with an emphasis in Irrigation. 
His maintenance department duties will include scheduling, business development, account management, overseeing the maintenance team administrators, and coordinating safety and training measures.

Russ enjoys spending time with his wife, the outdoors, fly fishing, hunting, cycling, and camping.

Jeff Franklin, Irrigation Manager, L.I.D. Landscapes

Jeff Franklin - Installation Irrigation Manager

Jeff began his career at L.I.D. in 1985 as an Irrigation Technician and a Mechanic. He joined the landscape industry because he loves the outdoors and enjoys improving irrigation systems. He is a Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor receiving his credential from the Irrigation Association.

Jeff's comprehensive experience includes designing, installing, and repair of irrigation and pumping systems. He is recognized throughout the Boulder area as among the most knowledgeable irrigation troubleshooter. He has worked on numerous projects including the irrigation systems on the University of Colorado’s campus.

In his free time, Jeff enjoys canoeing and kayaking, and making small batch pickles.

Matt McMillan, Maintenance Irrigation Manager, L.I.D. Landscapes

Matt McMillan - Maintenance Irrigation Manager

Matt has been in the landscape industry for over twenty years working with L.I.D. for more than half that time, starting in 2000 as a Crew Foreman. Matt has also worked as an artist both commercially and privately since receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

A combination of technical training and experience gives Matt a unique blend of aesthetic and technical knowledge. He has worked extensively in both Design/Build and Irrigation.

Currently, Matt's responsibilities include managing irrigation operations in the maintenance department, and Irrigation Business Development. He has several award winning projects with L.I.D. Matt is also responsible for our Safety & Training programs.

Outside of work, Matt is passionate about art, outdoor sports, his family, and traveling.

Eric Sabin, Irrigation Technician, L.I.D. Landscapes

Eric Sabin - Irrigation Technician

Eric was hired in May of 2014 as an Irrigation Technician. He received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Horticulture from the Colorado State University. He is passionate about water conservation and using water efficiently
in the landscape. Eric's past experience includes an internship with a Colorado based company building and maintaining water features. 

Outside of work, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and son, biking, and competing in triathlons around the state of Colorado.

Stacey Bryant, Administrator, L.I.D. Landscapes

Stacey Bryant - Administrator

Stacey has been a member of L.I.D. since the fall of 2014. Her responsibilities include accounts payable and receivable, team administration, and she is also on the front line of customer relations. Stacey loves that we offer services that enrich lives by creating beautiful environments that reflect each individual client's personality.

Stacey’s interests include hiking the mountains of Colorado, water skiing and traveling to California and Louisiana.

 Business Development

Brian Share, Operations Associate, L.I.D. Landscapes

Brian Share - Business Development and Productions Associate

Brian joined the L.I.D. team in 2013 after a summer of conducting irrigation audits with the Center for ReSource Conservation.
He has contributed to the Irrigation department as a scheduler, the Maintenance department as a Crew Foreman, and the Design/Build department as a client relations associate.

He received a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in society and policy from the University of Colorado at Boulder in May 2013. 
Brian’s current duties include assisting with Commercial and Residential Business Development and will be a part of our Snow Operations during the winter.

When not at work, Brian loves to attend football and baseball games, and ski and hike the trails of Colorado's mountains.
