How Do We Give Back?

Our Commitment to our Clients and Community

Corporate Responsibility

Changing lives through our pledges

We aspire to be a model of corporate responsibility by supporting non-profit organizations throughout Boulder County. Our support has raised more than $260,000 for charitable and community organizations.

As an example of our commitment, when an individual signs a new contract, or sends a referral to us, we pledge $100 to a charity of their choice.

Our corporate citizenship has enabled us to support the charitable and community organizations listed below.

A few of the organizations

We support

  • Attention Homes
  • Boulder Shelter for the Homeless
  • Children’s Hospital of Colorado
  • Community Food Share
  • Emergency Family Assistance Association
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Hospice Care for Boulder & Broomfield Counties
  • Humane Society of Boulder Valley
  • Impact on Education
  • Meals on Wheels
  • And many more

Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of Boulder families by addressing issues in our community such as hunger, education, homelessness, domestic violence, and access to healthcare.

Potting Parties

A Unique Way of Using our Expertise

Over the span of 15 years, LID Landscapes and parent company James Martin Associates have donated over 120 potting parties to local charities and organizations.

These potting parties are used to raise funds at the nonprofits’ silent auctions. Valued at $600 each, they include lunch, a guided tour of LID’s landscaped grounds, a container with plants, and gardening techniques taught by a landscape professional. Read more about this unique way of giving back to the community.

Cleaning up our community

Helping the EFAA

Recently, LID Landscapes helped clean up the Emergency Family Assistance Association (EFAA)’s property. This 100-year-old organization offers family housing, a food pantry, a children’s program, direct financial assistance, and case management to help adults and their families get back on their feet.

We are proud to have helped beautify the landscape of an organization that has done so much for the Boulder community.

“Our Account Manager was great at working within our budget and honoring our vision. We are looking forward to our next project, the front of the house, for the spring!”

Scholarships

Educating the next generation

Scholarships are the lifeblood of the educational system. Many students graduate with tremendous debt that may take years and years to pay off. Scholarships help minimize this huge burden.

They also help attract high quality individuals to a landscape education. For many, once they are exposed to this line of work, they stay in the industry for the rest of their lives.

The multiple benefits

of giving back

We have realized that we are happier when we are intimately involved in our community.

We not only support the greater Boulder area through financial giving each year, but we also support the community by cleaning up the outdoors, planting trees, hosting potting parties, awarding scholarships, and more. Wherever we can, we try to use our horticultural expertise to improve landscapes and provide education.

We are proud of our community and are happy that we have the chance to make a difference through our involvement on multiple levels.
