Project Description

The client was looking for a cohesive design and planting installation to tie their entire property together. The goal was to be aesthetically pleasing from three separate vantage points: inside the home, along the street and the tee box for the 18th hole across from their backyard.

To accomplish the client’s goals, we repurposed their existing plants and implemented changes in the bed lines to provide more space for a new color palette of plants that complemented the existing facade of the home. Curved steel walls and a combination of granite and buff boulders helped to build up the backyard and increase the drainage next to the golf course. Repairs to the client’s existing water feature also helped alleviate some of the drainage issues in the backyard. The addition of a compacted grit path allowed the client easy access to a small patio tucked away in the new plantings in the back. In the front, moss rock boulders and new planting beds define the driveway and give the home a grand entrance.

With new plants in the front and back, we were able to give the client a garden that provides interest in both color and form every season of the year.
