Meet the Creative Team Behind LID Landscapes

Jim Martin has served as President of LID Landscapes since 2013 when it became a part of James Martin Associates, Inc. Currently, Jim is actively involved in business growth and strategic direction; selection and development of current and future associates; LID’s immersion in waste elimination through lean management and continuous process improvement; and the company’s commitment to and involvement with charitable and community philanthropy. Jim is an avid outdoorsman from the Chicago region and father of three exceptional daughters. Jim's interests include global wild-water river rafting, gardening, tennis, travel, and continuous learning.

Scott Natter began his career in 2007 as an intern at James Martin Associates, LID’s partner company located in Chicago, IL. Working in various roles in Operations, Design, and Account Management, Scott gained the experience that allowed him to move into the role of General Manager at LID Landscapes when the two companies joined in 2013. Under Scott’s leadership, LID has greatly expanded its maintenance and snow divisions and grown an industry-leading team of landscape professionals. In 2023, Scott became a licensed Landscape Architect and was promoted to Vice President. Scott enjoys camping with his family, white water rafting, and working on various projects at his mountain cabin.

Stacey Houts joined LID Landscapes in 2013 as an Office Administrator. Handling the scheduling, billing, payroll, and other various office duties gave her an innate knowledge of the workings of the company. Stacey now acts as the Business Manager for LID, sustaining and growing our client base across all departments of our company. Stacey also assists with our internship program and recruiting efforts, traveling to college campuses for events and career fairs. When not at work, Stacey enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her children and family.

Andrew Holler graduated from CU Boulder in 2015 and began working on an installation crew at LID Landscapes shortly after. While working in the field, Andrew was able to broaden his knowledge of the landscape industry and was promoted to Operations Manager in 2018. In this role, Andrew helps to run our Design-Build and Snow Management departments, inventory and purchasing, fleet and facilities management, marketing and information technology, and accounts payable. Andrew is a Certified Snow Professional (CSP) and his contributions have led to various process improvements for the company. As the Chief Swag Officer, Andrew ensures that our team is equipped with branded apparel for every season. In his free time, Andrew enjoys playing video games, cooking, and practicing his photography skills.

Matt McMillan has spent over 25 years with LID Landscapes going back to the 1990s as an installation foreman. Matt’s combination of technical training and experience gives him a unique blend of aesthetic and functionality when constructing landscapes. He has worked extensively on landscape installations as well as irrigation service and management. Matt is an excellent communicator and easily translates client’s desires into finished landscape products. A Colorado native, Matt is passionate about art, outdoor recreation, his family, and traveling.

Jeff Franklin is the longest tenured employee at LID Landscapes with over 39 years on our staff. He began his career in the landscape industry because of his love for the outdoors and found a natural niche installing and improving irrigation systems throughout the Boulder Valley. Jeff is a Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor through the Irrigation Association (IA) and has boundless knowledge of irrigation, pump, and well systems. His experience is unmatched, and Jeff is recognized as one of the top irrigation troubleshooters in our area, even working on an irrigation system on the University of Colorado Boulder’s campus at one time. His passion for doing things the right way and keeping up with the latest practices has led to the improvement of countless irrigation systems and has set the gold standard for service for the entire LID Landscapes team. When Jeff is not at work, he enjoys being on the river and making small batch pickles at The Boulder Pickling Company.

Ryan Campbell is a Colorado native who combined his passions of horticulture and art by graduating from Colorado State University’s Landscape Design and Horticulture program. Out of school, he owned and operated his own landscape business in Northern Colorado, producing several designs that were featured in outlets such as Style Magazine. When Ryan joined LID Landscapes in 2018, he brought with him an insightful approach to design that combines creativity with practicality to produce timeless landscape installations that become an extension of the home, all while maintaining beauty and function in equal parts. Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter hiking, camping, fishing, and rafting in the mountains.
